CLIMATE CHANGE LETTERS FROM YEAR 4 MAKE IT TO THE HOUSE OF COMMONS

Year 4 have been learning about the effects of climate change and as part of this they found out all about the amazing activists who are raising awareness of this important issue, such as Greta Thunberg and David Attenborough.

They decided to become young activists themselves and wrote persuasive letters and speeches about air pollution and the effects of global warming in and around Lewisham, which we then sent to our local MP, Janet Daby.  Janet Daby was so moved and inspired by the children's passion for the subject that she decided to take the children's specific concerns to the House of Commons where she addressed other members of parliament.

Here is a clip of her speaking and talking about the impact the children's work had on her and how she and the government must do as they have demanded and act to save the planet.
